Painting on Silk - Sparhawk Dragonfly & Waterlily

Capturing the reflection on the stillness of the pond, this painting helps to still the busy-ness of our minds. Sparhawk is the dragonfly. It's named for one of Maine's native gems of the same blue/green color!

This work has been hand-painted on silk using permanent textile dyes that are steam set to insure longevity. After the painting is completed, the silk is stretched over a padded board and framed without glass to ensure the viewer can enjoy the sheen of the natural silk and dyes. Framed dimensions: 48 x 32.
